Ash Wednesday:  We observe the start of Lent with a communion service and learn about Jesus’ time of trial in the wilderness.

Maundy Thursday:  A special service remembering Jesus’ last days.

Easter Sunrise Service:  Our minister,  leads a sunrise service on Easter morning on the grounds of Athol-Royalston Middle School – a beautiful spot to watch the sun come up and hear the Easter message.

Easter Sunday Worship:  A traditional service of celebration, with special music and drama presentations. It is followed by an egg hunt for the children .

Christmas Eve:  Family service at 7:00 PM  is a service of Lessons & Carols, special music, and a candlelight singing of Silent Night.   The public is invited to all services.

Other Special Services

Healing Service:

Our Healing Ministry is actively growing.  Activities include a Healing Service offered in the sanctuary following worship service on the second Sunday of each month.  Trained leaders welcome the Holy Spirit while offering prayers, laying on of hands and anointing with oil.  All are welcome.  Sitting in intercession for a loved one is encouraged.  Reiki Shares are offered once a month by appointment for a more private receiving of the Holy Spirit.  Special arrangements can be made for urgent needs.  There is no charge for any of our services.

On Stage: Services throughout the year may include  a dramatic presentation to  illustrate the lessons of our Faith. The presentation may be performed by the Pastor or lay people. We pray that by exploring these lesson with a new perspective or view point, it is a blessing to all. Special dramatic events are always on the calendar and advertised by radio, Athol Daily News and Facebook.

Special Music:  From Jazz to classical cantatas and  meditative interludes, our Church loves to provide a variety of music in  regular services and the special services that bring music to the forefront of the spiritual experience.
